It is impossible for us to connect with our customers without first establishing a high degree of trust in our company. When we consistently deliver to our customers’ expectations, they begin to give us their trust. A major key to us giving our customers an extraordinary experience is setting correct expectations up front. The promises that we make to our customers today become the standards that must be met tomorrow. Trust is built on actions taken, not promises offered; the sincerity of comments, reactions and suggestions; non-judgmental feedback, (negative emotionality erodes trust); and open communication, such as proactive phone calls to keep customers in the loop.
